MCS Mechatronic manufactures electronic horizontal chain and rope testing machines in Kolhapur, India, and supplies them to lifting gear makers, mining and offshore suppliers, ports and inspection agencies in Saudi Arabia. The horizontal bed takes long specimens of chain, wire rope, slings and fittings and tests them in tension up to 3000 kN.
Vision 2030 has turned Saudi Arabia into one of the busiest construction and manufacturing markets in the world. Giga-projects, new industrial cities in Jubail and Yanbu, local steel and line-pipe production, and SASO's tighter conformity rules all mean that more material has to be tested before it is used, and more of that testing is moving in-house. Lifting chains, slings and wire ropes must be proof-load and break-load tested, and a horizontal machine handles their length easily.
Seven models from 100 kN to 3000 kN share the same hydraulic design and measuring system.
CR-10 to CR-300
Hydraulic horizontal tester with a precision load cell and microprocessor measurement for chains and ropes under tension.
| Models / capacity | CR-10, 20, 30, 50, 100, 200, 300 – 100 to 3000 kN |
| Measuring ranges | Two auto-selected ranges per model (e.g. 0–40 and 40–100 kN on CR-10) |
| Distance between grips | 100 to 3000 mm, adjustable in 500 mm steps |
| Ram stroke | 500 mm (CR-10 to CR-50); 600 mm (CR-100 to CR-300) |
| Accuracy | ±1%, Grade A of BS 1610 and Grade 1.0 of IS 1828 |
| Measurement | Precision load cell, microprocessor system, rotary encoder for displacement |

Our machines are used by steel rebar mills, line-pipe and oil and gas suppliers, petrochemical plants, cement and ready-mix producers, cable makers and third-party testing laboratories. Typical Saudi applications include:
Proof load and breaking load of chains and slings
Haulage chain and wire rope testing
Mooring chain, lashing and wire rope checks
Lifting sets and rigging hardware
Hoist chains, hooks and fittings
Periodic re-certification of lifting gear
MCS chain and rope testing machines are built to a loading accuracy of ±1%, as per Grade A of BS 1610 and Grade 1.0 of IS 1828, the accuracy class used for proof-load and break-load certification.
In Saudi Arabia, product conformity is overseen by SASO (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization), and laboratories that issue accredited reports work under SAAC (Saudi Accreditation Center). With the optional Windows-based software, load and elongation can be recorded for test certificates.
We supply chain & rope testing machines to industrial cities and project sites across Saudi Arabia, including:
Machines are packed in seaworthy export cases and shipped from India to Jeddah Islamic Port, King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam and Jubail Commercial Port.
Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and the machine's calibration certificate are supplied with every shipment.
Online operator training on the machine and its software, with remote technical support from our team in India.
Yes. MCS Mechatronic manufactures horizontal chain and rope testing machines in Kolhapur, India, and exports them to Saudi Arabia through ports such as Jeddah Islamic Port and King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam.
Seven models from CR-10 (100 kN) to CR-300 (3000 kN), each with two auto-selected measuring ranges.
The distance between the gripping heads is adjustable from 100 to 3000 mm in 500 mm steps, using motor-driven gear shafts.
Wire ropes, slings, shackles, hooks and other lifting fittings can be tested in tension with suitable accessories.
SASO technical regulations adopt international test methods such as ISO and ASTM. MCS chain and rope testers are accurate to ±1%, as per Grade A of BS 1610 and Grade 1.0 of IS 1828, and results can be recorded through the optional PC software for your SASO or client records. Product registration through the SABER platform is normally handled by the importer, and we provide the technical documents you need for it.
The supply voltage depends on the model. Saudi Arabia's three-phase supply runs at 60 Hz, so please mention your site voltage and frequency in your enquiry so we can confirm the right electrical configuration.
Tell us the maximum load, specimen length and items you test, and we will recommend the right model.
